Sagana is in Kirinyaga County, right after Murang'a. Its proximity to Nairobi makes it a favorite for many; it takes 1.5 - 2 hours to get there. You probably know that you could go rafting in Sagana, boat riding, and bungee jumping. What you most likely don't know is that there are very scenic and amazing gorges in Sagana, very near to most other tourist attractions.

Hope this post and pictures will inspire your visit the next time you’re in Sagana. Now adding Sagana to the list of destinations that are perfect for road trips in Kenya. A visit to the canyon can even be hacked as a day trip from Nairobi and many other towns.
There’s no entrance fee (yet) and you won’t find crowds. The cliffs were formed by consistent movement of water between rocks, creating perfect art.

How to get there: Take the turn that goes to Rapids camp, drive for around 1.2 kms, just past the railway line, the Sagana canyon will be on your right.
