Adventure is what defines us. Life is an adventure in itself. We could take adventure to imply uncertainty, adrenaline, hope, struggle, and excitement. Well, at least that’s my definition. We are such that the next minute is just as unpredictable as the next year. Faced with such incertitude, why not just dive in? Face all that sound unachievable, invent new experiences. I know, it’s easier said than done. I lost count of the number of times I failed to do something that seemed way out of my comfort zones. But it’s all about baby steps with me. Which is why I took up this adventure.
I must add, Nairobi is not in the list of what I consider one of the places I’m used to. This is probably because it is (almost) the exact opposite of Mombasa. Think slow life, warm temperatures, beaches, and warm breezes. While Nairobi is not all that, it is certainly not boring. It is one of the places where there is always something to do.
Here, in pictures, is how I faced my acrophobia head on while catching a glimpse of the most amazing landscapes just a few kilometers away from Nairobi city.
I know that such a bridge is not anything for some people. But hey, it’s not everyday one has to use a wobbling bridge! I was scared, to say the least.
Never mind the bottles, we never litter 🙂
Revolutionizing adventure
Eyes on the ultimate prize
There you have it – an adventure that could only be told in pictures. Every step came with a unique lesson, one that will hopefully boost my confidence as I face this adventure called life.
Any time you’re in Nairobi be sure to take a break from the ordinary, and go test your limits as you take in fresh air from an otherwise unpolluted area. The feeling at the end of it all will be very fulfilling, I promise.
Cheers to facing our fears!
